Bird Watching in the National Park – Egg Hunting

Canoe the Cur
When Saturday 26 April
Where Glenbranter, near Strachur.
Discover the natural secrets of the meandering River Cur on this guided canoe trip from Glenbranter to the dramatic Loch Eck. Join Countryside Rangers who will point out wildlife and heritage highlights along the way.

National Park Argyll Classic Car Run
When Sunday 27 April
Where Starts at the Motor Museum, Alexandria, then to Aberfoyle, Callander (around lunchtime), then on to Strathyre, Glen Dochart and Rest and be Thankful
The second touring run around the National Park, from Alexandria near Loch Lomond over roads and hill climbs used to test the Argyll car in the early part of last century. Organised by the Caledonian Classic & Historic Motor Sport Club and RSAC. £25 fee to enter, but spectators can watch the cars for free along the route through the Trossachs, Glen Dochart, Loch Lomondside and the Rest and Be Thankful.

Friends of the Rest
When Monday 28 April to Sunday 11 May
Where National Park Gateway Centre, Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch
View some of the memorabilia gathered by the Friends of the Rest, a group set up after the first National Park Classic Car Run in 2007. Their aim is to re-instate the old Rest and Be Thankful hill climb road as a motor sport heritage site for clubs and classic car enthusiasts. Time 10.30am to 4.30pm
